Types of Braces

It starts with a smile

As you consider what your journey to a better smile will look like, it’s good to know all of your options. Braces are a time-tested and patient-approved treatment that has been tweaked to perfection over their long life in orthodontics. What you may not know is that there are several different types of braces. At Peach Orthodontics, we offer a wide range of choices so that you can make the best decision for your lifestyle and desired treatment results.

Iconix® Aesthetic Braces

We are excited to offer our patients Iconix® Aesthetic braces, the newest addition to the braces family. With the groundbreaking new design of these braces, you get the updated aesthetics of champagne-colored brackets and clear ligatures without sacrificing the durability and sliding technology of traditional braces. Iconix® Aesthetic braces are made right here in the U.S.A., giving patients more options than ever when deciding on corrective treatment.

Traditional Metal Braces

Metal braces are a tried and true corrective measure for smiles that need a little help. With these braces, a metal bracket is adhered to each tooth and bound with a thin wire and plastic bands that encircle the brackets. While this treatment is the most noticeable, it is also incredibly effective. With colored bands and our choices of silver or rose gold metals, you can display your personality and make your braces your best accessory.

Treatment length varies depending on the patient and the severity of the issue being corrected, but most people wear braces for around one to two years. While undergoing this treatment, you will need to come in every six to twelve weeks so we can tighten wires and change elastics to ensure there is consistent pressure being applied to your teeth.

While there is some discomfort that accompanies braces, there are many ways to combat the pain. For most instances, we suggest any over-the-counter pain medicine or dental wax to alleviate irritation.

We know that braces are an investment, and luckily, there are more financing options than ever, so you can get the treatment you need at an affordable price. We have flexible financing plans and work diligently with insurance providers to get you the smile of your dreams.

Ceramic / Clear Braces

Ceramic braces work similarly to traditional metal braces, except the brackets are clear or tooth-colored, so they are more discreet. They are a popular choice among adults and teenagers who want braces but don’t prefer the look of the metal alternative. The treatment length varies from patient to patient but is comparable to traditional braces.

Just as with any corrective treatment, there is some discomfort that comes along with the appliances and the shifting of teeth. Again, we recommend over-the-counter pain relievers or dental wax to ease any discomfort caused by the braces.

The price of ceramic braces depends on the length of treatment. However, with our flexible financing options coupled with assistance from your insurance plan, ceramic/clear braces can be accessible to all.

With our flexible finance plans and your insurance coverage, we can get you the smile of your dreams with an affordable price tag.
