What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a state-of-the-art corrective treatment that uses a series of clear aligners printed to fit snugly over your teeth and give you the smile of your dreams. We take 3D images of patients’ teeth using our iTero® scanner and then use these images to create clear aligners that are unique to you. Invisalign is printed with SmartTrack® thermoplastic, a material created with your comfort in mind.
The clear aligners are then cut down so they don’t rub against your gums. After your initial pair, you will receive new aligners every two weeks that are adjusted to gently pull your teeth closer to your desired smile.
How Do I Care for My Invisalign Aligners?
One of the best things about Invisalign is that they are easily removed for cleaning and care. To make sure that your aligners stay clean, rinse them out each night when you brush your teeth to get rid of any residue that might have built up throughout the day. Then brush them gently using your toothbrush before replacing them to your teeth. Teeth and aligners should be brushed after every meal before putting them back in.
What Is the Treatment Process?
The treatment process begins with a free first consultation with Dr. Brent and our highly-specialized staff. We are here to help you begin your journey to a perfect smile and want to make the process as easy as possible. Once you are here, Dr. Brent will evaluate your needs and discuss what Invisalign treatment would look like for you and what a realistic timeline would be.
Once you have your consultation, we would get to work and capture the 3D images of your teeth. From these images, your Invisalign aligners would be created to fit snugly around your teeth for ultimate comfort and efficiency. New clear aligners are given to patients every two weeks until the end of their treatment.
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
The cost of Invisalign is comparable to that of traditional braces. As with braces, it varies from patient to patient depending on treatment length. Our office wants you to get the smile of your dreams without breaking the bank, so we offer a variety of flexible financing plans. In addition to financing, we work diligently with insurance providers to ensure that you are getting the best price possible.
How Will Invisalign Affect My Lifestyle?
Patients love Invisalign because it is the least obtrusive corrective treatment. You don’t have to alter your diet or appearance in any way, because these clear aligners are easy to remove and replace while being imperceptible to most onlookers. This means you can achieve the smile you’ve always wanted without sacrificing the foods you love or dealing with any metal appliances.
How Long Do I Have to Wear My Aligners for Each Day?
For Invisalign to be effective, you need to wear the clear aligners for 20-22 hours a day. Teeth need time to shift into the desired positions, so it is best for your smile and your investment to wear them consistently.
Are There Any Food Restrictions with Invisalign?
Invisalign is beloved by patients because it requires no diet alterations. You can continue to eat all of your favorite treats as long as you remove your aligners while eating. Just remember to put them back in when you’re done!
How Do I Know Invisalign Is Right for Me?
To figure out if Invisalign is the right choice for your lifestyle we offer a free first consultation with Dr. Brent. During this consultation, he will evaluate your needs and begin a discussion with you to decide whether this is the right corrective treatment for you.
Do I Still Need to See My Dentist While Wearing Invisalign?
It’s important that good oral health is maintained while in Invisalign as well as in life. Going to your dentist is crucial during treatment because, as an orthodontics office, we focus on correcting the mouth and jaw rather than keeping the mouth clean. You will still need regular cleanings and check-ups to have a successful treatment.
